Summit Sky Ranch
Summit Sky Ranch is a community of 240 single-family properties built to blend into the 416-acre property. With a focus on open space and conservation and maintaining an active, vibrant community, our lots and home options are designed to combine the organic shapes of a mountain property with the clean lines of modern styling and architecture. Approximately 60% of the property is open space, including a large portion of wetlands. Respect for and stewardship of nature is a core value of the development team and the homeowners. The homes are constructed with a high standard of insulation and an efficient radiant heat system. The homes’ aesthetic features modern finishes that are complementary to the surrounding outdoor landscape that Colorado and the mountains have to offer. The team has placed emphasis on natural landscaping, limited sodded grass areas. Summit Sky is also a dark skies community which means it is dedicated to preserving the night sky and sets an example for surrounding communities with responsible outdoor lighting practices.
A major focal point of the development and highlight for future residents is The Aspen House, the main clubhouse that all residents will have access to. The Aspen House features a comfortable yet stylish lounge setting, self-serving beer and wine taps, a resort-style pool and hot tub, outdoor patio space, a fitness center, wellness studio, game room, catering kitchen, and more. Residents also have unparalleled access to everything the great outdoors offers, such as hiking trails, a private lake, a town park, a dog park, Blue River access for fly fishing, and multiple ski resorts just down the road. The 20-acre private lake also hosts a fully equipped lake house with a dock, kayaks, canoes, paddleboards, a sandy beach, a fire pit, two hot tubs, and more. Finally, Summit Sky Ranch is working on completing an observatory housing a 20-inch telescope with an automated dome so residents can catch a glimpse of the Big Dipper or Orion’s Belt with ease.
Originally homesteaded in the 1860s, the property known as Maryland Creek Ranch was first used as ranch land for hay production and Scottish Highland Cattle. There were initially eight families that staked homestead claims on the nearly 1100 acres of Maryland Creek Ranch, each with their very own brand.
One hundred percent of both homes are sold out, and construction is expected to be completed in 2023.
